Luke + Ashley | Engagement Session | Coshocton, Ohio

It is almost July and I have only blogged ONE time this year! Guys, I stink at this! I am wanting to make this a weekly habit but for some reason it always slips to the back burner!

I shot Luke and Ashley's Engagement Session downtown Coshocton, Ohio and at The Historic Roscoe Village in Coshocton. It was my first time time shooting there! I love shooting in new locations. It allows me to be more creative and enjoy new spots.

Be looking for their Wedding coming up on the blog soon!

Until next time,

Top 5 Memorable Places to Propose in Licking County | Newark, Ohio Wedding Photographer

It's February. The month of love. Honestly, I love Valentine's Day and since I am a Wedding photographer, I wanted to post my top five memorable places to propose in Licking County.

Newark. I love this little town. Honestly, it's probably been one of my favorite places I have ever lived. Since all of the revitalizing they have done downtown Newark, it keeps getting better!

Valentine's Day is coming up soon and we all know there will be lucky ladies all over Central Ohio who's boyfriends will "Put a Ring on It". So in anticipation for Valentine's Day and wedding season, I have put together my top 5 most memorable places to propose in Licking County (yes, this is the romantic side of me is coming out!).

1. Dawes Aboretum in Newark, Ohio
If your girl the outdoorsy type? Go for a romantic stroll through Dawes Arboretum. A romantic proposal around one of the ponds or on the look-out deck would be perfect for her.

2. Canal Market District - Downtown Newark, Ohio
Is she more of a city girl? I love downtown Newark. After a dinner at Park Place Bistro, take a stroll around the square and pop the question at the Canal Market District. It;s unique and beautiful plus you can get a view of the court-house!

3. Ye Olde Mill - Utica, Ohio
What girl doesn't love ice cream! This place would be romantic along the stream and private!

4. Infirmary Mound Park - Granville, Ohio
If your a picnic kind of couple the Infirmary Mound Park in Granville is gorgeous during the spring time!

5. The Granville Inn - Granville, Ohio
Who doesn't love Granville? The Granville Inn has all the feels. Beautiful,  Quaint, unique, romantic. This place would be perfect!

I hope somewhere a girl's dashing Prince Charming finds this useful.

And...you know who to call once your engaged for engagement and wedding photography, right? ;)

Stay Fabulous my friend!

Merry Christmas Note and Jenny Dixon {High School Senior} Newark, Ohio

It is only 13 degrees outside and only 10 days until Christmas. Frank Sinatra is currently singing Hark! The Herald Angel Sing on my Spotify playlist and I wrapped my first several Christmas presents of the season and they are waiting under the tree. I wanted to blog Jenny's senior session from the end of summer. If your one longing for warm, summer breeze instead of the cold, winter chill, you may love this post. I caught that beautiful evening sunlight, the end of summer grass and flowers, and Jenny's sweet smile.
The fun part of living in a small town and owning a business is that you may run into clients around town and I ran into Jenny's Mom at Target one day. I enjoyed getting to work with Jenny and meeting some of her family.
On an ending note, through the hustle and bustle of the season, the candy canes and Christmas lights, the gift giving and gift receiving, I hope you don't forget that Jesus is the reason for the season and without Him, there would not be a holiday called "Christmas".

I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

A heart full of client love and Kyndal's 6 month Session {Newark, Ohio}

I finished a 6 week newborn session last night and later on in the evening posted their sneak peeks on Facebook. Some photographers may not do this but it is something I like to do for my clients and for myself. It gives them a sneak into the final product of their session and it makes me feel better to read their positive comments about my work.
As I sat down here at my desk, my heart was full. I love capturing a newborn and then reading a mom's response like, "These melt my heart! Thank you for capturing these moments of our miracle babies!". I love seeing that mom or grandma tear up over their family portraits. I love when a session doesn't seem to be going very good with a toddler and I put some adorable images out of the hat at the parent's view and order session. I love all my clients. I love my clients who have been with my for a couple years and put up with my mess ups. I love my new clients who search for a photographer, find my name somewhere on the internet, and then book a session not completely sure of how it will turn out. I particularly love when clients keep coming back for more. So if you are my client, know that I love you and your family and I am thankful for each of you.

Sweet, baby Kyndal came into the studio for her 6 month session in August. I had the privilege of capturing her newborn pictures earlier this year. It is fun so watch my newborns and kids grow up over the years.  Wait...did I just call them mine? It is fun to get to hold a newborn baby every so often...who doesn't love that?

Thank you, Hope and Tyler, for bring your babies back once again.
