Hi Friends!

      Here is the sweet Disbennet family that I shot back in January. They were such well behaved children and that makes my job a WHOLE lot easier instead of chasing kids around the studio and dealing with temper tantrums. trust me..I'v seen several of those. :) The joys of working with toddlers and young children. So high-five to parents that are able to keep their kids under control. It makes YOUR studio experience 1000xs better. I hope you enjoy some shots from the Disbennet's family session.

Basic Online Digital Photography Class-July 18-23, 2016

    Join me, Monday through Saturday, on July 18-23 for a BASIC online digital photography course. You don't need to know much about photography to take this course because it is geared for beginners. Whether you are a mom or dad who wants to learn to take better pictures of your kiddos or someone who wants to learn more about their camera in hopes of one day becoming a photographer, this class is perfect for you.
     The best part? It is completely online so you can take this class from the comfort of your own home, in your pajamas, in another state somewhere{I guarantee you I will be hanging out in mine some of the time too ;)}. We can sip coffee together {or if you prefer tea} and hopefully I can help you become better acquainted with your DSLR camera. I know some people can be intimidated by their camera and not use it at all...and why waste a perfectly good, expensive camera? This class is only $120 for a SIX day class. I will be hosting it through Facebook.

William's 1st Birthday Cake Smash Session {Newark, Ohio}

   Here is William's 1st birthday cake smash session from January. He did such a great job. I have shot so many children, babies, newborns, etc., already in my few years of business. I hope that when parents walk away from their session that they say, "I love the way she worked with our children". I want to create a lasting impression and relationship with each of my clients and I definitely want them to be my "forever" clients and I can watch their children and family grow through out the years.

2015 Apple Orchard Sessions {Legend Hills Orchard} Utica, OH

   Happy Wednesday, Friends! I know I said I wasn't going to blog the rest of last years sessions but I think I changed my mind (I'm aloud, right?). :) On October 17th, I had Apple Orchard sessions out at Legend Hills Orchard in Utica, Ohio. I love working with Legend Hills and we got some great shots. I worked with 11 families that day; some new families and some families I have shot in the past. Fleming Maternity Session {January 2016} Newark, OH

   Hey Friends! I know it has been a long time since I have put up a blogged post. I had intentions of blogging more and catching up but life is crazy, right? So, since I am already into May and I haven't been able to finish up 2015 shoots I am just starting with 2016. I know that will mean photo sessions towards the end of last year won't get posted but maybe I will do a special post once a month to post some of the best. I don't want to promise to blog everyday or even four times a week. Right now I want to start blogging every Monday and Wednesday or twice a week, depending if I can keep the Monday and Wednesday with my schedule. 

    Here is the adorable Fleming family from January when they were expecting the arrival of baby Elliot. He has since then arrived and I have shot his newborn pictures which will go up in a blog post later. Here are some of the best shots from their session. I hope you enjoy.

Stewart Maternity Session {Dawes Arboretum, Newark, OH}

   Here is Amber and Scott's maternity session that I shot in the fall. They did a fabulous job and were so kind. I will sometimes tell clients to bring along any props they might want to incorporate into their session and Amber brought a special book with them that went into the baby's nursery with the picture. I also like to shoot maternity sessions. I have yet to specialize myself into one or two types of photography and I'm not so sure I will unless it is down the road somewhere. 

    I hope you enjoy looking at Amber and Scott's maternity photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

Bowens Family {Fall Family Photography} Dawes Arboretum, Newark Ohio

     I am sure that no one in their right mind would say they hated fall. I mean how could you? I dearly love fall and it makes the PERFECT backdrops for my clients. Kim contacted me about taking their fall pictures and can I say that I love all that dark hair?? Sometimes babies just don't get the memo that it's picture day and they need to be as happy as can be. But you go with it and sometimes ask random strangers to bring their puppies over to take the baby's attention away from sadness. We had a great shoot and the fall colors were on display at Dawes Arboretum. Check out some of their shoot below!

Witter Family {Family Photography} Dawes Arboretum, Newark Ohio

   Fall is one of my favorite time of year to shoot photo sessions. The leaves are beautiful and make a fabulous background. I shot the Witter family in the middle of September and the leaves were just changing. This family is very near and dear to my heart and I enjoy shooting their family!

Abby Reed- Ohio High School Senior Photography {Dawes Arboretum, Newark, OH}

  I love to shoot high school seniors. The thing I love about it is I only have one person to pose and I have more freedom to try new poses. I don't want all my sessions to look alike and so I try to think of new ideas and posing to mix it up.  Last year I had the privilege to shoot Abby's senior pictures out at Dawes Aboretum. She did a fabulous job in front of the camera. One of my favorite spots that we shot from this session was the field of yellow flowers. Abby was not too sure about that but she went along with it and ended up liking them :) Check out some pictures from her session below!

Peirano Family {Family Session} Dawes Arboretum, Newark Ohio

   Here is the sweet and fabulous Peirano family. I shot Will and Ashley's family pictures back in the spring and since then they have had a sweet baby girl. You can see their spring session here. It was a privilege for me to shoot Will's whole family. This was my first time shooting a family this big {except for weddings}. They did great and rocked it in front of the camera!

Toni contacted me about shooting her grandson at her house as a surprise for her daughter. She also wanted me to get some shots of her daughter. We had a great time walking her property and getting some shots. Thanks for letting me get in on this surprise for your daughter!

Murray Family {Family Session} Dawes Arboretum, Newark Ohio

This adorable family came to me over the summer for family pictures along with some one year shots of their little boy. Denise had some ideas of her own that she wanted me to try. I am all for clients bringing ideas and even props along with them and I try to incorporate them as best I can into their session. We had a great session and got some awesome shots.

Will + Stacey {Engagement Session} Creekside, Gahanna

      Happy New Year! I can't believe it is 2016. I am so behind on blog posts, guys. Through fall and winter, I was busy will fall and Christmas pictures so I didn't have time to blog between running my business and doing college. Since it is winter and I have slowed down, I am hoping to catch up on sessions. I usually always post sneak peeks on the Facebook page but no one sees more than five or six shots at the most. Blogging is a way to show you more pictures and update you on my business, life, etc. SO, in 2016 I am hoping to catch up on blogging and continue blogging on a more regular schedule {fingers crossed}.

       I had a great fall and Christmas season this year with photo shoots. I feel like every year my business grows more and more and I get to meet some amazing clients that I hope to work more with in the future. I love presenting portraits to clients and seeing a  Mom or Grandma's eyes fill up with tears. It's not like I want to make them cry but it shows how much they appreciate and love their images and reminds me how great of a job I have. I have had so many new clients this year through families, couples, and High School Seniors. 

   Speaking of couples, here is a couple that I had the privilege of capturing their engagement and wedding photos in 2015. Stacey contacted me at the beginning of 2015 and we met and talked over all my wedding prices, etc. I was so happy she book and I enjoyed shooting their engagement pictures at Creekside Park in Gahanna. I will be putting up a wedding blog at some point. Thanks, Will and Stacey, for letting me be apart of such a special day. I wish you all the very best!

Mercedes Eckard- 2016 Senior Representative {Bryn Du Mansion} Newark, OH

Hey friends!
    I know. I am way behind on blogging sessions from the summer and now fall. Fall is a busy time for me but I am happy because the leaves provide me with a beautiful, colorful backdrop to capture my fabulous clients on.
    Here is my very first 2016 Senior Rep, Mercedes Eckard. I shot her session that supplied her with Rep stuff in August. I know. I am awful for just now blogging but I wanted to share her shoot with everyone. Blogging gives me a away to show all my followers my sessions and not just by the sneak peeks I usually post on my Facebook page that usually consists of 3 or 4 pictures from each shoot. Although I don't share ALL of the images, I usually pick the best/favorite shots from the shoots.

Webster Picnic Session {Newark, Ohio}

   It's officially FALL!!! I have posted a blog post in a while because my life is crazy busy. I love fall and this time of year! It is such a motivating time of year. 

   Here is a shoot that I shot during the summer of this cute family. I love Coke and Coke decor so I decided to do Coke picnic themed sessions. I think this turned out adorable! Jamie and Devin have been great clients of mine from almost the beginning and were willing to modal for me. Sadly, they moved to Florida and I will miss having them grace the front of my camera. I will miss you but I wish you the best!
