Today I wanted to share Elliot's One year birthday session from February. I loved getting to see him grow over the first year of his life. He is a cutie! Honestly, its forming relationships like the one I have with this family that makes my job SO much better. I love it. Now that I am a Realtor, I am currently selling a photography client's home and let me tell you that is extra special!

Happy Monday, Friends! It was a sunny, spring day with a cool breeze. I wanted to get my Monday blog post in and decided to blog Kaylee's Maternity session out at the Bryn Du Mansion. She bought this beautiful burgundy dress and I loved getting to work with her. I particularly love when my clients put thought in to their attire for their shoot. That makes me a happy photographer!
Sweet Baby Owen is one of the sweetest baby's I have ever met and that is probably because his parents are also so sweet. I love working with the Kemp family. I had the honor of meeting them this past Fall at my Day at Dawes fall sessions and I so enjoyed getting to work with them.
Owen did such a great job at this session. We did a simply cake smash set up and it turned out a classic. Thank you, Josh and Julie, for letting me work with your family. It is my pleasure!
I made it. I made it through Real Estate school. Honestly, that is exciting to me but the hard part isn't over yet. I have to pass a National and State exam in order to be licensed so I still have a lot of studying to do. Seeing my certificates make me proud. I love, love, love owning my own business so having a real estate and photography business is going to be challenging but hopefully rewarding. I have new ideas that I want to try and find new ways to grow both of my businesses.
Today I wanted to blog Brandon's first half of his senior session. He needed a yearbook photo so we did his studio portion and when we get a good snow, we will go outdoors to his outdoor location and get some awesome shots. We are waiting on this crazy Ohio weather. Does anyone know what tomorrow is? It is the first day of FALL! I am so excited for fall. The pumpkins, colorful leaves, pumpkin spice latte's and bake goodies, and fall pictures with clients. See what I did there?

Drema is adorable. I shot her senior session back in March along with Alexis Terry's Senior session. You can see pictures from her session at the link. They both did great and we had a good time. I know I have said before and I'll say it again, I love shooting seniors. It is a lot less complicated shooting one person versus three or four. I love a cute family but it is nice to break from that and focus on one individual and implement the different poses and ideas you can come up with. Drema, follow your dreams. You are a special girl and never forget it. I wish you the best.
Sweet Ivan was every photographer's dream two year old to shoot. He listened SO well and he posed and smiled like a champ. This makes my job 1000x better. These types of two year olds are rare and few and far between. Somehow he must have missed the worst of the terrible twos or he was extremely happy that. Whatever the reason is behind this sweet little boy, I enjoyed shooting and spending time with this Boy.
Here is some shots from Hannah's High School Senior Session at Bryn Du Mansion. Her Dad booked her session in February and let me tell you it was FREEZING cold. It didn't affect her much though. She went along with my ideas even though we had to stop for a warm-up break. Check out her session below.

Whether you are a mom or dad who wants to learn to take better pictures of your kiddos or someone who wants to learn more about their camera in hopes of one day becoming a photographer, this class is perfect for you.

It is completely online so you can take this class from the comfort of your own home, in your pajamas, in another state somewhere{I guarantee you I will be hanging out in mine some of the time too ;)}. We can sip coffee together {or if you prefer tea} and hopefully I can help you become better acquainted with your DSLR camera. I know some people can be intimidated by their camera and not use it at all...and why waste a perfectly good, expensive camera? This class is only $120 for a SIX day class. Here is Amber and Scott's maternity session that I shot in the fall. They did a fabulous job and were so kind. I will sometimes tell clients to bring along any props they might want to incorporate into their session and Amber brought a special book with them that went into the baby's nursery with the picture. I also like to shoot maternity sessions. I have yet to specialize myself into one or two types of photography and I'm not so sure I will unless it is down the road somewhere.
I hope you enjoy looking at Amber and Scott's maternity photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them!
I shot this family at Dawes Arboretum in September. I am slowly attempting to catch up on blogging so hopefully you will see more then two sessions a week! Here is the sweet and fabulous Peirano family. I shot Will and Ashley's family pictures back in the spring and since then they have had a sweet baby girl. You can see their spring session here. It was a privilege for me to shoot Will's whole family. This was my first time shooting a family this big {except for weddings}. They did great and rocked it in front of the camera!
Toni contacted me about shooting her grandson at her house as a surprise for her daughter. She also wanted me to get some shots of her daughter. We had a great time walking her property and getting some shots. Thanks for letting me get in on this surprise for your daughter!
Happy New Year! I can't believe it is 2016. I am so behind on blog posts, guys. Through fall and winter, I was busy will fall and Christmas pictures so I didn't have time to blog between running my business and doing college. Since it is winter and I have slowed down, I am hoping to catch up on sessions. I usually always post sneak peeks on the Facebook page but no one sees more than five or six shots at the most. Blogging is a way to show you more pictures and update you on my business, life, etc. SO, in 2016 I am hoping to catch up on blogging and continue blogging on a more regular schedule {fingers crossed}.
I had a great fall and Christmas season this year with photo shoots. I feel like every year my business grows more and more and I get to meet some amazing clients that I hope to work more with in the future. I love presenting portraits to clients and seeing a Mom or Grandma's eyes fill up with tears. It's not like I want to make them cry but it shows how much they appreciate and love their images and reminds me how great of a job I have. I have had so many new clients this year through families, couples, and High School Seniors.
Speaking of couples, here is a couple that I had the privilege of capturing their engagement and wedding photos in 2015. Stacey contacted me at the beginning of 2015 and we met and talked over all my wedding prices, etc. I was so happy she book and I enjoyed shooting their engagement pictures at Creekside Park in Gahanna. I will be putting up a wedding blog at some point. Thanks, Will and Stacey, for letting me be apart of such a special day. I wish you all the very best!
I am simply horrible at catching up on my blogging! I have sessions all the way back to summer that I hope to blog. :) Here is a precious one year old I shot over the summer. Isn't she a cutie?
